Karl Manning is a senior lawyer who works as a dedicated specialist mediator for complex legal matters in Australia and Papua New Guinea across areas including: commercial, banking and finance, construction, aviation, maritime, tort/negligence, native title, community, industrial & workplace, wills & estates, and families. He is also experienced in the design and execution of complex or multi-party dispute resolution processes
Karl has been a presenter/facilitator at Queensland Law Society, Symposium and other CLE forums in ADR Related matters and has worked as a mediation skills coach and assessor. He has been a participant in a range of ADR courses involving mediation and agreement making strategy and a delegate at various ADR forums always keeping abreast of mediation issues around the globe. He regularly works cross culturally and with interpreters.
Karl holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology (1993) and is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia, admitted in 1994 following Articles of Clerkship.
He is an Accredited Mediator under the Australian National Mediation Accreditation Standards (NMAS), a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) and a Fully Accredited Mediator (FAM) Papua New Guinea.
Brad has extensive experience as a conflict management professional and is a nationally accredited mediator ( 18 yrs + experience) in both Australia and Papua New Guinea. Brad routinely plays roles as a trainer, sessional lecturer and assessor for mediation courses consistent with the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS) for several organisations over many years.
Brad’s expansive work history includes executive and senior level appointments within the public service (Australian Government / Queensland Government), private sector and community based NGOs. He has extensive related experience as a facilitator; a restorative conferencing convenor; conciliator; peace and conflict educator; stakeholder / community engagement practitioner; community development programs; policy / program development and implementation;; strategic planning / MERI; governance and management. He has specialised experience in areas: Cross cultural mediation and peace building; Land / Water and Natural Resource Management; Community mediation; multi-party mediation
